Dr Richard Evers Elected a Committee Member of LTG

Dr Richard Evers, Research and Development Manager at SYNLAB Laboratory Services has been elected as a committee member of LTG – formerly known as the London Toxicology Group.

Richard is one of over 200 members from throughout the UK and Ireland. In order to become an elected committee member, Richard had to specifically possess appropriate experience or qualifications in the science of analytical toxicology.

Richard has approximately 25 years’ experience in NHS and Private pathology laboratories in Clinical Biochemistry and Toxicology. His particular area of expertise is in LC-MS analysis of drugs of abuse, both for clinical rehabilitation and maintenance treatment and in the workplace testing environment. Richard has worked for SYNLAB Laboratory Services for 10 years, applying his expertise and knowledge to facilitate and enhance the research and development of SYNLAB Laboratory Services’ in-house laboratory.

As a committee member of the Group, Richard will take part and have a professional interest in the detection and measurement of alcohol, drugs and their breakdown products in biological samples, together with the interpretation of these measurements – specifically known as ‘analytical toxicology’.

The London Toxicology Group meet at regular intervals each year, to facilitate and exchange ideas in order to promote the science and advancement of analytical toxicology for public benefit and education.
