23 May 2022 – SYNLAB Laboratory Services is pleased to announce that they have successfully re-obtained their United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation (Testing Laboratory No. 2144).
ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation is the trusted mark of quality and accuracy of analysis results from diagnostic laboratories. It is the standard to which drug and alcohol testing laboratories should be accredited to in order to provide legally-defensible test results. UKAS is the only national accreditation body which has been recognised by the UK government to assess and accredit organisations.
Adam Stretton, General Manager at SYNLAB Laboratory Services commented “We are delighted to announce that we have been reaccredited to the gold standard in laboratory testing quality management systems. This is testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire team, and to the improvements they have made to our processes. It also demonstrates our ongoing and full commitment to exceeding the highest standards in quality.”
SYNLAB Laboratory Services’ Toxicology laboratory, which has over 30 years’ experience helping customers identify drug and alcohol misuse in the workplace, underwent an in-depth assessment by UKAS assessors. UKAS confirmed at the beginning of May 2022 that the assessment was successful and SYNLAB Laboratory Services was officially awarded accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 – click here to view the Schedule of Accreditation.
In addition to the UKAS ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation, SYNLAB Laboratory Services also has a Medical Testing Laboratory (No. 9301) offering a wide repertoire of UKAS BS EN ISO 15189 accredited Pathology tests.
